Bundaberg is best known for its sugar cane, Bundaberg Rum and the Mon Repos Turtle Rookery. But beneath the waves of tourists that visit the region for its great climate and touristy things is a strong current of arts networks. Part of this ocean of creative talent is the Bundaberg Writers’s Club who host WriteFest.

Bundaberg is about four hours north of Brisbane, and four hours south of Rockhampton. You can get there by plane, bus and train.
